Curl crush is a term within the natural hair community that describes how someone likes a curl pattern that’s not their own. Natural hair care brand Carol’s Daughter did some research and discovered that most women surveyed experience curl envy, which is why the brand founder Lisa Price created National Curl Crush Day. This day was founded in 2021 and is celebrated every March 16th during Women’s History Month. Ms. Price wants to encourage women with kinky, coily, and curly hair to embrace and love their own hair! Carol’s Daughter ask women to post a new or old picture on social media rockin’ their natural hair and use hashtags #NationalCurlCrushDay and #CurlCrush.
