Two Big Chops

As a child I did not like my hair. I can remember sitting between my mothers legs and getting popped with the comb if I flinched or said "ouch that hurts". I grew up tender headed with a head full of 4b/4c hair until my step mother permed it! Girllllll was my mother upset.

I am now 25, and I have had 2 big chops. I am currently at the awkward stage again but embracing every inch! I love having natural hair!!!! I may not have the curl pattern most people consider beautiful, but this Fro, lemme tell you....this fro I rock is on FLEEK (did I just use that?).

​Anyway, I am in the military so I am limited on styles and colors, but I make it work for the sake of having beautiful and healthy kinky hair. I love setting the example for my fellow sistahs. I even inspired two of my friends to love their natural state! It's a beautiful feeling when people appreciate the journey!

Now if only I can make it grow past my bra strap!
